Reported today, Bronz “Les Mason” sold out the bikers big time.. now he says ” the hikes are livable” what a sell out, hes just agreed to what the govt had in mind all along, rumour a big hike, come back with a smaller one and the dipsticks will swallow it. Tui Les

ACC AKL Protest Ride 14th Nov 2009

Well, another well supported gathering at the Northern Autobann, bikes rolled in from 8:30am to 10an and we rolled south to the city, out via the north western motorway to collect the westeners, then back out to SH1 and Papakarua to collect th e southern fellas, back up SH1 and onto the domain. 130km trip around the city motorways.

ACC motorcycle stats (Accident Compensation Corporation)

Interesting isnt it how Statistcs get twisted to suit the occassion by our government wombles when it suits, they come out with statements like, (From Ministry of Transport own site).

Motorcyclists cost $XXmillion but we only collect X, or statements like M/c are 16 times more likely to be in accident, or Motorists subsidise M/c by X$ , well so they should its Motor car drivers who cause much of it. Drakonian ACC Levys introduced by a failing govenment

Isnt that just typical, John Keys National Government introduces ACC Levys (read TAXES) on a small group in the community just because they ride large motorcycles, ie, they charge by the cc. ridiculas really when u think that they will collect maybe 5 million which they could save by cutting the exorbitant salaries they pay ACC staff (totally incompetent Managers) and the ACC bludgers that keep them in existence.

Lifestyle Change and the Move to Invercargill

The DV’s emmigrate about as far south as one can go, by Mark & Jo (DV)

After being made redundant from work on the 6th of April and unsuccessfully looking in the North Island for another job, the decision was made to accept our sons invitation to stay with him and look for work in Southland. The only issue being getting everything down there, furniture, car, bike etc. A small logistical nightmare.

A good friend of mine started writing a book about the struggles and tragedies of growing up in Northern Ireland in the 1960′s, 70′s and 80s… I have been assisting her in small ways. Her life’s journey and the heart ache and suffering that has been the experience of so many in that small magic country effected me deeply… I have written the poem below for her book…. it tries to voice the waste… and the horror we humans are capable of around the world, when we feel justified.
